On September 20-21, the Assembly of Peoples of the World will hold the First World Public Assembly (WPA) in Moscow, an international humanitarian forum that brings together leaders of public diplomacy, civil society representatives, and experts. The World Assembly, which is timed to coincide with the International Day of Peace, will serve as a unique platform for dialogue aimed at shaping a sustainable, just, and harmonious future. On September 21, the Public Recognition Award for Service to Humanity will be presented. The World Assembly in Moscow will bring together 2,000 people from more than 140 countries, including prominent public figures, representatives of international intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, including the United Nations, UNESCO, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, BRICS, ASEAN, the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Eurasian Economic Union, the Socialist Republic of Romania, and others. The participants include politicians, diplomats, scientists, experts in education, culture, and sustainable development, youth leaders, athletes, cosmonauts, representatives of socially responsible businesses, traditional religious denominations, and leading global media outlets. The main theme of the World Assembly — "A new world of conscious unity" — will form the basis of the plenary session.The rich business program includes 7 panel sessions and more than 40 thematic platforms focused on the main areas:
● Strategic partnership and public diplomacy ● Humanitarian modernization: man as the center of the future ● New World values ● Spiritual and cultural unity and service to values ● Responsibility as the foundation of the future.
As part of the World Public Assembly, the final stage of the IV International Competition "Leaders of People's Diplomacy" will be held, and thematic forums will be organized: the International Media Forum "Media in Service to Humanity", the International Youth Forum "Generation of Unity", and the International Public Forum of the Anti-Hitler Coalition Countries "The Winning Countries: The Lesson of World War II and Responsibility for Peace". Additionally, the World Organization of Writers (WOW) Congress and the Eurasian Festival of National Cultures and Equestrian Traditions "Constellation of the First" will be held. To mark the occasion, the Assembly of Peoples of the World has launched a new Trust and Unity grant competition to support projects in the areas of international humanitarian cooperation and public diplomacy. One of the highlights of the World Assembly will be the presentation of the Public Recognition Award for Humanitarian Service, which recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to promoting international peace, trust, humanitarian cooperation, and service to humanity.
