The acceptance of proposals for candidates for the Leo Tolstoy International Peace Prize continues

The Leo Tolstoy International Peace Prize Foundation continues to accept proposals for candidates for the Leo Tolstoy International Peace Prize.
The prize is awarded:
• for outstanding achievements in activities aimed at countering the threat of World War III;
• For his significant contribution to ensuring universal and equal security based on the rule of international law, ending the arms race, and building a multipolar and nonviolent world;
• for significant achievements in the field of demilitarization, democratization and humanization of international relations based on generally accepted norms of morality and law;
• For active peacemaking and tireless struggle for the protection of human rights and freedoms.
Individuals and initiative groups, national and international public foundations, organizations and movements, scientific and research centers, and educational institutions can become applicants for the award.
Proposals for candidates for the award may be put forward by interparliamentary and other international organizations, parliaments, governmental and other bodies of States, public foundations, scientific and research centers, institutes and institutions, educational institutions, associations of scientists, cultural and artistic figures, laureates and members of the jury of the award.
The list of documents characterizing the applicant is determined at the discretion of the recommending organization.
