Dear, friends!
Russian Russian Language Day, which is held annually on the birthday of the great Russian poet and writer Alexander Pushkin, is my heartfelt congratulations to you.
Russian Russian is difficult to overestimate the importance of the Russian language as one of the pillars on which the Russian civilization and the entire Russian world stand. Our "great and mighty" (as it is called) is among the "five" most widely spoken languages in the world. It is widely used as an official or working language on international platforms. Its role in the development of scientific, cultural, educational exchanges and contacts between people is great. Russian Language Day is included in the international calendar of significant dates of the United Nations – as part of the program for the development of multilingualism and cultural diversity.
The spread of the language of Leo Tolstoy and I.S. Turgenev and Russian culture in the former Soviet Union objectively contributes to the formation of a space of peace, security, economic and humanitarian cooperation in Eurasia. I would like to note the great progress in joint efforts with partners to complete the procedures related to the creation of the International Organization for the Russian Language, established on the initiative of the President of Kazakhstan K.-Zh.Tokayev. It is important that it is open to all countries without exception, where they know and love the Russian language and where they want to study it. I hope that the Organization will start its work in the near future.
Of course, in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, we gratefully recall that the soldiers of the Red Army, who saved the world from the horrors of Nazism, defended, among other things, our right to speak our native language, Russian.
The "Great Russian Word" was used in incriminating texts documenting the atrocities of Nazi war criminals, including at the Nuremberg Tribunal. It strengthened morale, gave comfort, and affirmed the inevitability of the victory of good over evil. The works of art created during the Great Patriotic War are rightfully included in the "golden fund" of Russian and world culture.
Russian Russian is very important to us, and respect for the Russian language, the great culture created in it, and the people who speak Russian is very important to us. We cannot tolerate discrimination. Not to mention the open terror against all Russians, which is unleashed by the Kiev regime. The Ukrainian followers of S.A. Bandera and R.I.Shukhevych systematically and legislatively exterminate everything that is somehow connected with Russia. The Russian language is particularly hated by the Kiev regime, which has been banned by numerous laws. Russia will not leave Russians and Russian-speaking people in trouble, and will ensure that their legitimate rights, including the right to speak their native language, are fully restored. We will continue to talk about this acute problem on international platforms. We will insist that its resolution be a necessary condition for a long-term peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.
Further strengthening of the position of the Russian language in the world remains in the one of the absolute priorities of our humanitarian foreign policy. We will continue to do everything possible to meet the needs of foreign partners in studying and using it, obtaining generally relevant and scientific information in Russian, and expanding knowledge about Russia.
In conclusion, I would like to once again sincerely congratulate everyone who loves the language of Alexander Pushkin and who makes their contribution to its preservation and dissemination abroad. Special words of gratitude to our compatriots who preserve an inseparable spiritual and linguistic connection with their historical Homeland, who do much to preserve the rich cultural, historical and spiritual heritage of the Russian world.
Happy holidays and all the best!
