The exhibition "Strangers and Ourselves. Faces and Personalities" was opened in Stavropol
On April 20, 2026, the North Caucasus Federal University hosted the opening of the exhibition "Strangers and Ourselves. Faces and Personalities." The project was created by the Russian Historical Society and the History of the Fatherland Foundation with the support of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives, as part of the national project "Youth and Children". Ruslan Gagkuev, Chairman of the Board of the Russian Historical Society and Executive Director of the History of the Fatherland Foundation, took part in the opening ceremony: "We are opening an exhibition that has been in the works for several years, and the work is still ongoing. In fact, we are constantly improving, adding to, and expanding the exhibition. Today, the collection of information about the special military operation and the collection of exhibits is a duty of the entire historical community. The quality of our work will determine how our descendants perceive the events taking place today." The exhibition, which opened at the North Caucasus Federal University, includes more than 250 items. The exhibition is based on materials collected during trips to frontline areas by employees of leading Russian museums. Among the most notable exhibits are samples of Ukrainian FPV drones and UAVs found in the liberated territories of the Kursk region, fragments of weapons and ammunition, and models of Russian inventions used in the special military operation zone.
